Sam Houston Centennial Statue

The Sam Houston Centennial Statue was dedicated in 1979 in celebration of the university's centennial.

The life-size bronze statue of Houston stands guard at the northern edge of the quadrangle, behind the Austin College Building. It's the work of Houston artist Trace Guthrie.
