The parking lot east of the Administration Building was replaced by a student mall area in the early 1980s.
Twenty years after the above picture the circular planter box was removed to prepare for construction.
Putting the pieces of the clock tower together in the LSC Mall area.
A composite of photographs shows the cupola being dropped into place as well as the metal skeleton.
The clock tower stands a few yards north of where the university water tower, removed from campus in the 1950s, once stood. We don’t have a height comparison between those two, though.
The dedication plaque on the eastern side of the tower thanks the Blatchleys for their contributions.
