The electronic sign at the northeast corner of Bowers Boulevard and Bobby K. Marks Drive was installed during the 1985-86 school year. It was sponsored by First National Bank. It was dedicated to then-recently deceased university administer, DeWitte Holleman.

An updated sign was installed sometime in the early 2000s.
