McAdams Tennis Center
Some of the first courts were located at the corner of Avenue L and Seventeenth Street, where AB2 and the Halley Building would one day be located. Fast-forward to the 1970s when courts were installed south of Pritchett Field. Christened the McAdams Tennis Center in 1976, for fours years the area was home to various competitions until the program outgrew the small, four-court facility. The eight courts south of the Health and Kinesiology Center were renovated to include lights and expanded seating. In 1986, the monument honoring the McAdams was relocated to the new playing area as part of a rededication ceremony. The four courts on the western edge of campus remained in use until the mid-1990s when they, and the Pritchett Field House, were torn out to make way for the Walker Education Center.
